Birks Group Inc officially opened its new concept store at the Royalmount shopping centre. The 500-square-foot boutique on 5th September.
Designed by the French firm Landmark Architecture, the store’s concept draws inspiration from Canada’s natural landscapes and heritage, blending tradition with modernity.
Design Inspired by Canada’s Natural Beauty
The design of the new Birks store aims to reflect the Canadian landscape through its use of refined aesthetics. Soft curves, warm tones, and advanced lighting are key elements in creating an atmosphere that represents themes of refinement, charm, and brilliance. Birks’ signature blue hues are featured throughout the space, referencing Canada’s landscapes and the brand’s heritage.
According to Jean-Christophe Bédos, President and CEO of Birks Group Inc., “With this new store concept, our goal is to offer clients another opportunity to immerse themselves in the World of Birks, while highlighting the craftsmanship, design, beauty and value of our collections. This new store, entirely dedicated to Birks’ own jewellery collections, redefines and elevates the brand experience.”
A Milestone in Birks’ 145-Year History
The Royalmount store reflects Birks’ long history, which began in 1879. The concept blends elements of the brand’s heritage with a contemporary design.
“As a brand with over 145 years of history, we take great pride in our Canadian heritage and are excited to share our rich legacy in a fresh and elegant way,” Bédos stated.
A Strategic Location at Royalmount
The new store is located in the high-profile Royalmount shopping centre in Montreal, positioning Birks among other luxury brands in a prime retail destination. The Royalmount development is expected to draw attention, with Birks positioning itself to connect with a luxury-focused clientele.
This boutique sits next to the newly launched TimeVallée store, another recent venture for Birks. TimeVallée, a multi-brand watch retailer, also opened its first Canadian location at Royalmount, further enhancing Birks’ presence in the luxury retail sector.
