HRA Group, in collaboration with Dialog, has launched a comprehensive diamond recutting and repair service at its Toronto facility.

This service aims to provide efficient and cost-effective diamond recutting options for retailers in North America.

    New Service Offering

HRA’s service offers a range of diamond recutting and repair options designed to reduce costs for retailers. It addresses inefficiencies and high costs in current recutting processes, providing jewellers with a more streamlined option.

The service leverages HRA’s technical expertise, handling each step from secure shipping to the facilitation of GIA recertification, allowing retailers to focus on other aspects of their business.

    Key Service Features

The diamond recutting and repair service includes several features designed to offer flexibility and meet the specific needs of jewellers:

    • Recutting for Damaged Diamonds: HRA repairs broken or chipped diamonds, making them suitable for resale.
    • Upgrading Poorly Cut Diamonds: HRA transforms diamonds that do not meet GIA Excellent standards into high-quality stones, improving their marketability. The company works with all diamond shapes to meet retailer demands.
    • Girdle Inscription Removal: Retailers can request the removal of existing girdle inscriptions as part of the service.
    • Efficient Turnaround: HRA offers swift processing times to reduce delays for retailers.
    • Cost-Effective Solutions: Pricing is set to offer significant savings compared to local services, particularly those based in New York City.

    Industry Impact

The introduction of this service reflects the need for jewellers to have reliable recutting solutions that maintain high standards while helping to control operational expenses. With the option to repair damaged or underperforming diamonds, jewellers can optimise their inventory without the significant costs typically associated with such services.

Itay Ariel, Global Director of Sales at HRA Group, said: “We are thrilled to extend our professional diamond recutting services to retailers. Our mission is to provide retailers with a flexible, reliable, and affordable solution to recutting their diamonds, all while maintaining the highest industry standards.”
