The Canadian Jewellers Association (CJA) recently held its annual Industry Summit on 21 October at The St. Regis Toronto, an event aimed at fostering connections, education, and recognition within Canada’s jewellery sector.
The summit attracted significant attendance and featured various educational sessions, networking opportunities, and the presentation of the CJA Awards, sponsored by the De Beers Group.
The event featured the donation of ‘Pristine,’ a Canadian diamond painting by artist and jewellery designer Reena Ahluwalia, valued at US$5,000. The artwork was offered as the main raffle prize, with proceeds benefiting the CJA’s initiatives. “Pristine” was awarded to Negin Tadayyon of C.D. Barcados Co. Ltd., adding a significant contribution to the event’s fundraising efforts.
Supporting the CJA Through Art
Reena Ahluwalia, recognised for her diamond-inspired work, commented on her donation: “I make art to add joy to people’s lives, and when art can serve, it’s one of the most gratifying feelings.” CJA Chair Angela Betteridge extended the association’s gratitude, stating, “Thank you, Reena Ahluwalia, for donating your incredible art. The Canadian Jewellers Association is deeply grateful for your most generous support.”
